A prominent face in social media and Winner of MIRCHI MUSIC AWARD in 2019. He renders original content including- Song, Poetry, Documentary, Speech, Films etc. In recent days he has Partnered with- Amara Muzik, Inreco, UD series etc. His songs have been aired from several satellite tv channels like- Aakash8, Tara Muzik, ABP, R Plus, TV9 Bangla etc. Several FM stations broadcasted his original compositions including- Big FM, Aamar FM etc. Born in 1982, he belongs to a musical family. His ancestors are mostly radio artists of their time. Soumik stepped in to music through classical guitar and started composing songs of his own. Kabir Suman, Nachiketa, Salil Chowdhury, Joyjit Lahiri, Goutam Chattopadhyay and AR Rehman are the greatest impacts in his musical upbringing. From the very first day of musical journey he was absolutely focused on his own compositions. Apart from songs he also writes and recites poetry. So far the educational qualification is concerned, Soumik doesn't have any degree in music but having a Doctorate in Computer Engineering from Jadavpur University. Apart from producing music he is also attached to an engineering college as Head of the Department. He also owns professional audio/visual studios in Kolkata and he prefers doing arrangements, productions, programming and mixing-mastering for channels and clients of Kolkata, Mumbaiand and Bangladesh. Likes apart from music- Indian Politics, Bengali Literature, Engineering Technologies, Driving, Social Media Buzzing.
